Cups of almonds and almond flour to grams
1 US cup of almonds and almond flour = 142 g (5 oz). A 250 ml metric cup = 150 g.
Type 1/2, 1 1/2 or 0.75. The cup size changes the volume; the weight scales by volume, so it assumes the same filling method in every cup.

Why this number: 142 g per US cup
We use King Arthur's published figure, which is a stated reference for home bakers and is the weight most gram-based recipes from that source use. Where the two sources disagree, both figures are in the table above and in the calculator, so you can switch to the one your recipe was written with.
This page covers four different measures because "a cup of almonds" means four different things. A cup of whole almonds holds about 142 g, a cup of slivered almonds about 108 to 114 g, sliced about 86 to 92 g, and a cup of ground almonds about 95 g (USDA) or 96 g (King Arthur almond flour). Flat slices and flakes leave far more air in the cup than whole nuts do.
The two ground figures agree closely (USDA 95 g, King Arthur 96 g), which is reassuring, but King Arthur also lists almond meal (a coarser grind that usually includes the skin) at 84 g. Almond meal and fine blanched almond flour are not weight-for-weight equal in a cup.
The headline weight here is for whole nuts; use the calculator to change source to the ground or sliced figure before converting a recipe.
